“More Than Music” challenges Artists to reflect more deeply on the effect of their art on consumers. Music can be used as a catalyst for profound growth and healing, and I want to pave the way for this to be the case. I believe as Artists, we are accountable to God for how we utilize our gifts that he has given us.
Music bypasses the mind and penetrates through to the heart and Soul of a listener. That is a massive responsibility for Artists. While trekking through my fair share of high highs and low lows up to this point in my life, I never realized how impactful Music was towards either encouraging me, or reinforcing a negative framework. When I made my first album, FRAGMENTS: Moments in Time, I felt depressed, and as a result, I made depressing music. Little did I know, the entire creation process would only reinforce that depression as I listened to the songs repeatedly while mixing & editing. I don’t want negativity to be reinforced through Music, yet there are very real negative emotions that I believe cannot go on suppressed (as I mention in my Song, Let It Out). There is such a powerful opportunity to connect with, and ultimately uplift listeners—and I believe that power can be handled much more responsibly than it has been in the Music Industry.
Every single day, I am working on this Business in some way, shape, or form; whether that be writing, recording, mixing, editing, planning, managing, organizing, posting, etc. I am studying Editing, Cinematography, and Storytelling to tell better stories via Music Videos, while constantly learning to better understand myself every day. I also Coach other Artists
I want to positively influence the subconscious minds of those who listen to my Music, and inspire each listener to overcome strongholds of darkness, discover their true identity, and fulfill their God-given purpose being the light of the world.
